The refurbishment was necessary due to the lack of facilities and disrepair of the building. Hot water facilities in the kitchen & toilets and new heating systems were required, total redecoration throughout, together with the removal of asbestos and a new access road and parking area.

thanks all for donations & help

A mains electrical  cable plus a total update of all electrics was also carried out, this work being done and donated to the guides by a local electrical contractor   The rest of the work was all carried out by volunteers and was made possible by a substantial donation from the West Lancashire Mark Masons. Thus enabling the premises to be used by the community as well as the guides.
